Historical sunset tour, on a classic wooden yacht!

Enjoy Lisbon's stunning views on our two hours historical boat tour.

On Halcyon I, a large classic wooden yacht, you travel in time, getting closer to when Portuguese sailors left for discovering the World. Follow their path through the monuments that tell us the History of the Portuguese Empire. Belem Tower, Jeronimous Monastery, Monument of the Discoveries, Commerce Square, they all stand by the river and have a lot to tell us.

While sailing, you can roam around, enjoying a sparkling wine and our very appreciated nibbles.
We can go up to eighteen guests (full boat tours are the most fun but expect to go private or in a small group. We don't even go out every day).

Halcyon I is a classic wooden yacht built in Lisbon, in 1970, from teak brought from Goa, in India (once Portuguese), and designed by G. L. Watson & Co, in Scotland (I think the only one in the World). Has been my home for the last thirteen years and I'm very pleased to go sailing with you. We hoist all three sails on every tour.

€ 45.00 per guest, € 40.00 from six and € 25.00 for under 12(on open tours). Half a bottle of Sparkling wine, per guest, and nibbles included! (Same price since 2012).

Private tours from 6 guests(10 on Fridays and Saturdays). You choose the departing hour.

“This is an experience we will forever remember!! Booking it last minute was the best decision. Luis was so informative with his knowledge of history of Portugal and sharing it with everyone in the perfect way. As we were passing each historic building or structure that was worth talking about he would go into detail about the significance of each one of them. We were only on board with 5 other people and there was plenty of room. We enjoyed our conversations with everyone so much that we all caught drinks after the experience!! Luis’ wife brought out some snacks that she prepared and was the best co-captain! It was very windy so I suggest bringing a jacket. And shoes with a grip. This experience felt personable and not touristy which is exactly what we wanted. Luis is a local with a passion for Portugal and he portrayed just that through his words and experience. We will most definitely love to do it again our next time to Lisbon! You want to do this experience! Trust me!”
